Statement issued 6th April 2021 – In agreement with the regulator, we will recommence accepting some general wastes into the Walleys facility from tomorrow to complete the profile of the cell 1 area. This is an essential part of the capping works to complete the landform and does not constitute a return to full operation which as agreed with the Environment Agency will not be before the permanent capping works to this area are complete.
The local community may see vehicles with waste arriving at the facility from tomorrow and considered it prudent to inform you all in the first instance so you can share the information accordingly and advise accordingly should you be approached for comment.

Subject: Walleys drilling
Good Evening All,
My apologies, I inadvertently despatched the morning team summary in an earlier email rather than the more fulsome briefing I now attach below,
We are pleased to confirm that a further program of gas well infrastructure drilling has commenced at the Walleys facility during w/c 16.02.21. The works have been fully CQA (construction quality assurance) assessed and approved by the regulator. In total there will be some 10 additional gas wells installed at the facility to expand the already significant infrastructure used to capture gas and convey it to the Gas Utilisation Plant to produce electricity. We anticipate that the drilling program will take around two weeks to complete.
The current drilling represents a continuation of investment in the gas management infrastructure at the Walleys facility. As areas are filled with waste materials gas infrastructure is installed in the designated area to ensure effective gas management and maximise the utilisation of this material for generation of electricity via the onsite gas engines. Just to ensure that residents appreciate what a drilling rig looks like, please see the stock picture attached.
We would be grateful if you could share this information accordingly to ensure effective communication with the local community.
Many thanks
